Hey, it’s Vash!

A woman with curly hair smiling and sitting in a car, after a good therapy session and feeling good about the future.

I've spent more than a decade helping people navigate the midlife and the empty nest years with more purpose, connection, and confidence.

Hi, I'm Naivasha. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Washington state specializing in helping parents navigate the empty nest years, midlife transitions, and the emotional challenges that come with change. My career has taken me from school counseling and college advising to mental health therapy, giving me a unique perspective on both launching children into adulthood and supporting parents as they redefine themselves.

Today, I help parents move from grief, uncertainty, and overwhelm to a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and possibility in the next season of life.

In the meantime, you’ll find me binging on Shrinking, sipping on a matcha, and busying myself so that I don’t keep checking my adult kids’ locations.

Signs of Empty Nest Syndrome

Profound loneliness and disorientation from a quiet home: The sudden shift from a busy, child-centered daily routine to an empty house creates a heavy, unsettling silence that feels overwhelming rather than peaceful.

Experiencing a sense of double loss: Navigating the empty nest milestone solo without the support of a partner.

Severe identity crises and loss of purpose: Feeling deeply unsure of who you are outside of your primary role as a hands-on caregiver, often accompanied by the distressing question, “Who am I now that my kids are gone?

Persistent anxiety regarding the next chapter of life: Struggling with complex grief mixed with apprehension about the future, making it difficult to identify personal goals, new interests, or a sense of independent self-fulfillment.

“The wings were for them. The sky is for you.”
